Spring Break is coming up, and if you don’t have anyone to travel with, NO PROBLEM! Single and solo female travel is where it’s at! Have your own adventure!
From Pro RV Repair’s very own travel writer, Beth Bauer.
The first time I traveled solo, I went BIG! I bought a used Harley Davidson Sportster 883, got my motorcycle endorsement, and headed for the 75th anniversary of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota. Most people thought I was a little crazy to travel alone as a woman, but 7,100 miles later, I returned home with more confidence, unforgettable memories, and a new appreciation for solo travel. I’ve since sold my motorcycle and do most of my travel in a campervan, so I can take my dog along on my adventures. Here are some of our favorite places to visit in the Pacific Northwest.
Crater Lake National Park
Crater Lake National Park is stunning! It’s located in the Cascade Mountains of southern Oregon. Because of its elevation, you need to check weather conditions ahead of time to make sure the roads are open. Crater Lake was formed by a collapsed volcano, Mount Mazama. Near the western edge of the lake is Wizard Island, and the best way to see it is to take Rim Drive, a gorgeous winding road surrounding the lake. It provides picturesque views of the lake. I recommend getting out of your motorhome to enjoy a hike if the weather cooperates. One of my favorite trails is Sun Notch.
Crystal Crane Hot Springs
If your idea of getting away from it all includes no crowds, expansive views, and a long soak in an outdoor hot spring, Crystal Crane Hot Springs near Burns, Oregon, is perfect! Whether you spend the night at one of their RV sites, opt for a cabin, or stay in a teepee, you’ll enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and unlimited soaks in the hot springs. You can even enjoy a soak in the middle of the night! Plus, they are pet friendly, and their team members are always friendly and helpful.
Spring Break in the Northwest can bring every kind of weather imaginable, so always check road conditions and be prepared for cold nights. Make sure your RV is serviced and ready for inclement weather, and If you’re traveling alone, tell someone where you’re going and when you’ll return. Take a good book along, upload your favorite music (in case you don’t have internet), and prepare yourself for a good time!

This company is customer oriented. Most RV shops when called with a problem say you can get an appointment 3-? weeks out…Twice they fixed me up that day. All the work I have done there is first class and a fair price. I just today got my new to me coach back from a repair job they fixed for 1/2 as quoted to me by another shop in Vancouver.
I had them install a Blue Ox tow bar and a SMI break system in my towed vehicle. They performed the work expeditiously and were pleasant. They were available for questions about the system after the installation.
The service here was amazing. We broke a leaf spring while doing a cross country trip on our travel trailer at 3pm thursday (they close at 5pm). Ending up in a gas station near by. We call and told them our situation…They made room for us to get us in…getting parts in the next day… The rates were very fare for the job. Thanks to the whole team at Pro World/Pro RV we continued our trip. We can’t thank you all enough.
